Voice banking (with services like ModelTalker, Acapela My-Own-Voice, or VocaliD) is built to power an AAC device — it gives you a synthesized voice that says whatever you type, while you’re still alive. Voicekin is built for the family that will outlive you. The patient records guided answers in their own voice; family members get a private space to listen later, ask questions of an AI grounded only in real recordings, and receive scheduled messages on specific future days. The two are complementary — many ALS patients use both.
