About
A quiet bet on what
voice can carry.
Most of what makes a person irreplaceable is the way they talk — the specific phrases, the small jokes, the timing of a laugh. Photographs capture some of it. The voice itself fades. Voicekin is a way to keep it.
The journey
How we got here, in five quiet steps.
The diagnosis
A clock you can hear ticking.
Around 30,000 Americans are living with ALS at any given moment. The median time from diagnosis to losing usable speech is shockingly short — often a year or less. Families learn this number the same week they learn it has a name.

The gap
Voice banking was built for the patient.
Existing voice banking — ModelTalker, Acapela, VocaliD — gives the patient a synthesized voice for their AAC device while they're still alive. It does not preserve the answers a daughter will ask a decade later: how you and mom met, what you were scared of at her age, what you'd want her to know on her wedding day.
What we built
A vault for the answers families keep asking.
Three small habits, one growing archive. The patient records while they can. The family listens whenever they need to — sometimes for years.
- Guided prompts — record meaningful answers in your own voice, a few minutes at a time.
- AI Family Space — your family can ask any question and hear it answered in your real voice, drawn only from things you actually said.
- Scheduled delivery — pick a recording, pick a date, and a private email arrives on the morning of a wedding, a birthday, a graduation.
What we will not do
Promises in plain language.
If you trust us with your voice, you should know exactly where the line is.
- We will not sell your voice. Ever. Not to advertisers, not to model providers, not bundled in an acquisition.
- We will not train external AI models on your recordings. The AI only retrieves from your own archive.
- One click in settings deletes everything, including scheduled messages and any cached voice clones.
The horizon
Starting with ALS because the need is sharpest.
Once we've earned the trust of ALS families, we expand to other terminal and degenerative diagnoses — advanced cancer, Parkinson's, MS, Huntington's. Eventually, to anyone aging who wants to leave a meaningful voice legacy. Always quietly, always carefully, always at the pace the people who use us set.
